JAMMU, Oct 27: PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Yash Pal Sharma today alleged that the Coalition Government has failed to bring transparency and accountability in governance.
Addressing a public meeting at Nai Basti Jammu, he alleged that legalizing corruption and nepotism was the only noticeable achievement of the five year tenure of the regime led by National Conference.
“The State Government was more interested in misleading people rather than solving their problems and the time has come to throw National Conference out of power for bringing back PDP in the forefront to solve the problems of common man,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, former Rajya Sabha member and vice president of the party, Trilok Singh Bajwa said that young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has created a history by heading a worst ever corrupt Government in the State. “Although successive NC regimes have patronized corruption from time to time but the present Government has crossed all limits because from Chief Minister to the lower level, everyone has been facing the corruption charges with one or other way,” he explained.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Hussain Ali Bafa, Deepinder Kour, S Amrik Singh Reen and others.
