Prompt action needed

Sir,
For the last many days, we have been observing with great concern and worry through print media etc. the cease fire violation by Pakistan army. This is a matter of great concern for the whole country in general and the people living in these border areas in particular. The people in these areas are spending sleepless nights and are not least sure about their safety. They are not sure what will happen the next moment. A big chunk of people in Samba sector had to take refuge in a hall. The soft policy adopted by GOI is not in the fitness of things in such an exigency. Of late, the Defense Minister has felt the necessity of getting appraisal of conditions on borders and that too when the PM showed a great concern on the deteriorating condition on borders. It is not for the first time that Pakistan has acted brazenly without caring for border agreements. It is not a big problem for a big country as India where our army is laced with the latest warfare technology. So let us give a befitting to Pakistan’s nefarious intentious and reply the sufferings of the people from further troubles. Let all the people of India show unity and stand like a big mountain behind the brave soldiers.

SC for 3 percent quota to disabled
Sir,
The supreme courts decision to Centre and State Governments to provide three percent job reservation to disabled persons in their departments is really a historical one (D.E. Oct 06 refers). With this, numerous physically challenged and economically distressed candidates who otherwise are unable to earn their livelihood will now be helped with this decision. The golden rules whenever enacted help the mankind and mitigate their sufferings.
