101 civilians exchange sides via Chakkan-da-Bagh

 

 

JAMMU: As many as 101 civilians today exchanged sides in a weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service via Chakka-da-Bagh in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

   “101 civilians including residents from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir exchanged sides when the gate was opened for weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service,” an official said here.

   He said from this side of the border eight fresh Indian citizens went across to meet their relatives while 29 PoK residents returned to their homes after completing stipulated stay on this side.

   “From other side of the border, 59 fresh PoK residents reached India to meet their relatives and five Indian citizens returned their homes,” he added.

   Meanwhile, senior police and administration officials were also present on the occasion. (Agencies)
