KISHTWAR, Jan 8: Fire broke out today in village Lai, Padder here in which one house was gutted.

A team of 17 Rashtriya Rifles (Maratha Light Infantry) from Kijai COB received information about the fire and pressed its men and machinery to douse it and minimise loss to life and property to the residents of the remote village Lai, Padder otherwise fire would have engulfed entire of the village.
During relief and rescue operation first aid to injured people was given.
The quick action of dousing the fire was done with assistance of villagers and J&K Police.
This action of Indian Army was lauded by one and all.
