Govt’s apathy towards KPs

JAMMU, Jan 8: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) in its meeting held here at Muthi today under the leadership of its president, R. K. Bhat various burning issues of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in general and youth as well as package employees in particular were discussed.
The meeting was attended by various core members and advisors of the organisation.

said that recent statement of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha against the displaced persons has not only hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri Pandits but created doubts in their minds against the present dispensation in Delhi and JK. In this connection a community meet will be organised shortly to express anguish and anger against the power corridors.
During the community meet threadbare deliberations will be held on all burning issues of the community, so that future course of action will be decided accordingly, he added.
Bhat said that Valley Posted Migrant Employees (VPME) who are serving in Kashmir in tough situations have to flee every time due to target killings. The employees who are on roads for last so many months are facing many hardships without salaries. YAIKS fully support their struggle and advised them to make it a Community struggle fully so that Government should not underestimate community struggle in general and the ongoing struggle of employees in particular. The employees were further suggested to form Joint_Action_Committee of all KP organisations and it’s heads to deal with ongoing challenges.
Bhat further assured to left over candidates that their issue is on the top priority of organisation and in year 2023 YAIKS will take their and other survival issues including demand of over aged youth and enhancement of relief benefits to its logical conclusion. He sought their support also in this direction.
Regarding the annual feature of YAIKS the celebration of “Hearth_Milan” the meeting decided to celebrate it before one week of Shivratri in the second week of February.
To fight for the comprehensive resettlement of the displaced Pandits once for all, it was resolved that organisation will start direct interactions with the meaningful members of the community, so that a united voice will be raised before the Government of India.
YAIKS assured community that they will not take rest till the goal is achieved.
