JAMMU, Oct 28: Bharatiya Kissan Sangh’s state unit today called upon the Union Government to provide bunkers to the people living in forward areas on the International Border (IB) in entire Jammu sector for the protection and safety of the border people.
In a statement, Sangh’s state general secretary Subash Dasgotra said the people of border villages have been suffering due to Pakistan firing after regular intervals and it becomes duty of both Centre and State Government to construct bunkers for their protection from Pakistan firing.
He said mere statement wouldn’t serve any purpose and the Centre and State Governments would have to take concrete steps for safety and security of the border people.
Apart from construction of bunkers, Mr Dasgotra also sought compensation for the border people if they were unable to cut the crops due to Pakistan firing.
