JAMMU, Jan 9: Several new office bearers of Scheduled Caste Cell of National Conference were nominated during meeting held here today.
The meeting of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference SC Cell was held at Deyi Chak in Marh Constituency under the chairmanship of Charan Dass Ex- Sarpanch in which Provincial president SC Cell Jammu, Vijay Lochan was the chief guest.
After deliberations with the senior colleagues in the party, Lochan nominated Master Baldev Raj as Provincial vice president SC Cell Jammu Province, Ram Lal as District president SC Cell Jammu Rural- A and Yashpal Bhagat as District secretary SC Cell Jammu Rural- A.
Addressing the gathering Provincial president said that the main purpose of the National Conference is to ensure upliftment of the poor and weaker sections in the society besides work for peace and development in the State. He said only NC cares for the poor and neglected people in the society. He appealed the cadre to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah and the party.
He said National Conference is the only party which is fighting for the social justice and upliftment of down trodden people of J&K as they are being totally ignored by the present BJP regime.
Others present in the meeting included Krishan Dutt, Prem Kumar, Des Raj, Jagga Ram, Satpal, Ashwani Kumar, Tarsem Lal, Lal Chand Dogra and others.
