VDA discusses holistic Agri development programme

JAMMU, Jan 9: Veterinary Doctors Association (VDA) today threadbare discussed the holistic agriculture develo-pment programme.
It said that Government’s nod to 29 technology driven innovative projects under holistic agriculture development programme to boost the agriculture production in the UT and double the farmers income.
The Association president, Dr Riyaz Nazir Rishi in a statement today assured that the Association will whole heatedly work for the success of the programme to make the dream of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, LG Manoj Sinha and Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Atal Dulloo a success.
They said the programme will prove a game changer towards the upliftment of Dairy, Mutton , Poultry, Wool and Fodder development making UT of J&K self sufficient in these sectors.
He said these reformative interventions will boost local economy, improve production and pave way to make UT self sufficient in milk, mutton, eggs and will ensure doubling of farmers income.
He assured the Government the veterinarians of twin departments of Animal and Sheep Husbandry J&K are highly enthusiastic and pledged to work hard and leave no stone unturned to achieve success in time bound manner.
