NDPI concerned over frequent power cuts

JAMMU, Jan 10: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) has expressed concern over frequent power cuts in Jammu.
In a handout NDPI leader Rajesh Gupta urged J&K LG to take all possible steps to provide round the clock power supply to industries and households in J&K.
He said that NHPC sends most of the electricity produced in J&K to outside which leaves the UT to face power cuts especially in winter days.
Gupta claimed that even the areas where smart meters have been installed have not been spared from power cuts.
He said that major part of the electricity produced in J&K is sold out leaving the UT power starved.
The NDPI leader demanded free electricity and water supply for the people of J&K.
