15 UP pilgrims hurt as mini-bus skids into gorge

REASI, Jan 11: At least 15 pilgrims were injured when a mini-bus which was on way to Katra from Shiv Khori met with an accident in Pouni area this evening.
A police official said that it was raining and mini-bus bearing registration number JK14C-9596, was on way to Katra town from Shiv Khori shrine. All the persons on broad were pilgrims and hailed from Agra in Utter Pradesh.
He said the driver lost control over the vehicle at a sharp curve due to rash driving and vehicle landed into a gorge near village Thandapani village. The locals of the area and police party removed the injured pilgrims to PHC Pouni where some of them were discharged after first- aid. Six injured were later referred to District Hospital, Reasi. The condition of all of them was said to be stable.
The police said that a case has been registered in this connection.
