KATHUA, Jan 12: Eight councilors of Municipal Committee, Nagri in Kathua district submitted the No Confidence Motion letter against President of the Municipal Committee, Anil Singh Andotra.

The eights councilors who included Bakhtawer Singh, Naresh Kunar,<Ram Krishan, Shashi Kumar, Sonia, Tarsem Chand, Rakesh Saini, Ram Krishan reached the Municipal Committee Office with No Confidence letter to handover it to president of the MC , Anil Singh Andotra. But he was no present in the office despite being intimated on telephone to be present in office to receive the No Confidence Motion letter as per rules.
The councilors also met with Chief Executive Officer, MC Nagri and discussed on legal aspect of the No Confidence letter in the absence of President so that next course of action could be taken. The Councilors said that they have already Informed the President, Anil Singh on telephone to ensure his presence in the Office. But he did not come. “Now we have option to post it by registered post or social media network to ensure it”. The Municipal Committee Nagri is headed by BJP which has a majority of seven councilors out of 13. Now eight councilors including five BJP councilors submitted No Confidence Motion. They said that one year term as decided for President is over and hence he should step down. But despite that President Anil Singh did not submit his resignation and we are forced to withdraw support to him, they added.
