RAJOURI, Jan 13: People of Darhal today staged a protest seeking proper investigation into suspicious death of an 18-year-old youth.
Irfan Malik (student of class 10th) son of late Abdul Rehman Malik died in suspicious circumstances on January 10 in Darhal, following which postmortem was conducted but its report is yet to be submitted to the police authorities.
Expressing resentment over delay in postmortem report, people of Darhal village led by Mohd Farooq Malik staged a protest and demanded that the postmortem report be submitted at the earliest and if there is any chance of his death due to drugs, then also book those who were in the contact of the deceased.
The protesting people said drug peddlers have created havoc in Darhal and by each passing day more and more youths are getting themselves involved in drugs.
BMO Sajjad Rashid said that the postmortem report will be submitted to concerned authorities within a shortest possible time.
