POONCH, Jan 13: A 9-year-old boy who was injured in an incident of gun- fire on Thursday, at Dara Sangla in Surankote area of Poonch succumbed to injuries in GMC Hospital Jammu today.
Official sources said that the injured, Afraz Ahmed, son of Mohd Sharief was initially brought to Sub District Hospital Surankote and referred to GMC Rajouri from there, but was later shifted to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment where he succumbs today morning.
Sources said that though Police had detained a person for questioning, who was accompanying the deceased child to get the information about the pellets injuries to him. The police claimed that investigation in the case was in progress.
