JAMMU, Oct 29: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Sanjeev Gupta today rejected the bail application of Angad Kumar, Chowkidar-cum-Cook of the Inner Wheel Rotary, who was allegedly involved in rape with mentally retarded girls.
After hearing APP Gulzar Singh Charak for the State whereas Advocate Mohd Latif Malik for the accused person, the Presiding Officer observed, “in view of seriousness of allegations against the petitioner and principles governing the grant of bail besides the possibility of petitioner influencing the witnesses, the court is of the opinion that petitioner do not deserve concession of bail in the larger interest of society”.
Accordingly, the Court dismissed the bail application.
