JAMMU, Oct 29: Bakshi Nagar police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 400 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bakshi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Dileep Singh laid a naka at Maheshpura Chowk and intercepted a pedestrian namely Vijay Kumar alias Peter, son of Om Parkash of Kabir Basti, BC Road.
During search, police recovered 400 intoxicant capsules and arrested the accused.
A case under FIR number 156/13 and under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
