People protest in Thannamandi against land order

RAJOURI, Jan 15: The general public at Thannamandi town today held a strong protest against the UT Administration for new order regarding eviction of people from State/Rohsni/ The protest was led by senior NC leader Shamim Ahmed Mughal and Mushtaq Shawl in which large number of people were present. They claimed that new order of Jammu and Kashmir Government on removal of encroachments from state land, is yet another dictatorial step which will directly impact life of small farmers and poor people especially in rural areas.
Shamim Mughal asked J&K Government to roll back such order of anti- people nature and rather take action against land mafia and big sharks involved in large scale encroachment of state lands.
He said that J&K Government has come up with a fresh order for state land encroachments asking Deputy Commissioners to remove illegal encroachments from State lands before 31st of January.
Senior leader Mushtaq Shawl said that J&K Government is almost every month issuing such orders that directly impact life of a common man and forcing people to spend sleepless nights. He said that Government should roll back order to safeguard life and interests of poor and small farmers.
He said Government is unnecessarily creating problem for people by making anti people policies which directly effecting them.
