KATHUA, Jan 15:Former MP and Chairman Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party, Ch Lal Singh and his party will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi at Gateway of J&K Lakhanpur near here.
He said that Bharat Jodo yatra is in favour of India and any party starting this yatra must be supported by our party. “If someone is uniting the Bharat, then there is no harm in supporting him. We need to unite anyway for our rights. He said we have got invitation to join yatra and also our conscience forces us to join the yatra to fight against the Government to get justice for common man”.
The ruling Government is working against common man. The farmers cultivating their land since years are dislocated from their land. Firstly it was till March now the Government gave deadline of ending January to vacate State land under the possession of people. He said 32 percent land in Jammu 68 percent is under possession in Kashmir. This is the better time unite both Hindu and Muslim to fight for their rights.
He also projected the demand of implementation section 371 for J&K which is Constitutional right of the people. “If eight states of India have 371 then why not J&K” ?. He also supported the separate States for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh so that the people of these regions get justice and development in their own way.
On the joining of Congress party, Ch Lal Singh said that there is difference between both parties. “Our view point is very clear, we are fighting for separate Statehood for Jammu, section 371 for Jammu and many more,. There is no such proposal of joining Congress party at present’’, he added.
He said that the party will welcome the Bharat Jodo Yatra at Lakhanpur with huge number of supporters and also join yatra upto Jammu at various locations.
He was talking to media after attending the meeting with workers at his residence to chalk out the plan of joining Bharat Jodo Yatra.
