Three peddlers held with heroin

JAMMU, Jan 15: Jammu Police recovered 10 grams of heroin from three peddlers at two different nakas in the jurisdictions of Police Station Bishnah and Police Post Chatha, respectively.
A team of Police Station Bishnah rounded up two suspects namely Arun Kumar son of Vijay Kumar of Bhor Pind (Jammu) and Tilak Raj son of Hans Raj of Akkal (Ward number 5, Jammu) who were going from Bahadurpur towards Kotli Charkan side on their vehicle bearing registration number JK04B-0979. During search, total 4 grams of heroin (2 grams from each) was recovered. In this regard, a case FIR Number 15/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and the accused arrested.
Similarly, at another naka, a team of Police Post Chatha rounded up one suspect namely Manish Kumar son of Som Lal of Bhour Camp (Ward number 2, Jammu). On search, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR Number 11/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Satwari and accused was arrested.
Further investigation of both the cases was going on.
