POONCH, Jan 16: Apni Party activists along with residents of Purani Poonch staged a protest demonstration against the Government order regarding anti-encroachment drive on Government land.
The protesters raised slogans against the order and claimed that it was unjust to evict them from the land they were living-in from years.
Hundreds of people joined the protest.
Former MLA Haveli and District president Apni Party Poonch, Shah Mohd Tantray said that people of J&K are owners of its land and Government must not harass them by such orders.
He said that they will come out on roads to oppose any sort of injustice.
Tantray along with other Apni Party leaders met ADC Poonch and submitted him a memorandum in this regard.
