JAMMU, Jan 17: Police here today rescued 10 bovine animals and seized two vehicles involved in illegal transportation.
Police laid special Nakas at two different locations in areas under the jurisdictions of Police Station Nagrota and 10 bovine animals were rescued.
A police team under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar led by SHO Police Station Nagrota, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh while on naka duty rounded up two different vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02BS-3247 and JK02CN-4334.
After search of the vehicles, 10 bovine animals were rescued-six from vehicle bearing registration number JK02BS-3247 and four from vehicle bearing registration no. JK02CN-4334.
Two different FIRs under relevant sections were registered at Police Station Nagrota and vehicles involved in the crime were seized.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
