Punchok Tashi joins NC

ZANSKAR (Ladakh), Oct 30: The former Executive Councilor for Zanskar Affairs and Tourism LAHDC Kargil and Nominated Councilor Engineer Punchok Tashi along with many prominent personalities of Zanskar joined National Conference in presence of the Minister for Higher Education Mohammad Akbar Lone, Advisor to CM Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister of State Feroz Ahmad Khan, Minister of State (Indp.) Nazir Gurezi, Provincial President NC and MLA Nasir Aslam Wani and District President National Conference Ghulam Hassan Khan during their visit to Zanskar.
The Ministers welcomed the new members for joining the party and hoped that the new member will strengthen the party by highlighting the people with the policies and programmes of the party.
While addressing a huge gathering, Mohammad Akbar Lone said that the Omar Government is bound for the development of the far flung and deprived areas of the State like Zanskar. The Government is aware of all the difficulties faced by the people residing in these areas and providing them all basic facilities is the top most priority of the Government. He also announced that from the next academic session Science stream will be introduced at Government Higher Secondary School Padum.
Advisor to CM Qamar Ali Akhoon, State Minister Feroz Ahmad Khan and Nazir Gurezi, Provincial President NC and Provisional President NC Nasir Aslam Wani and District President National Conference Ghulam Hassan Khan also spoke on the occasion and focused on the people friendly policies of the Government and mentioned about the various development projects in Zanskar Sub Division.
The Ministers also review the stocking position of essential commodities for Winter and the scenario of the ongoing developmental schemes in Zanskar. On getting the information that the essential commodities has been stocked 90%, the Minister directed for the stocking of the remaining 10% quickly keeping in view the onset of Winter season so that the people do not face any kind of difficulties.
