Srinagar, Oct 30: Kashmir Economic Alliance, a traders’ group, today protested against the sealing of commercial complexes, hotels and business establishments in the Valley by the Government following a High Court order.
KEA constituents comprising traders, hoteliers, transporters, contractors and other sectors of the business community, besides the owners and the staff members of the sealed properties held a protest at Lal Chowk.
Chairman KEA, Mohammad Yaseen Khan, urged upon the Government to submit a clear and positive policy before the High Court to facilitate de-sealing of the affected properties at the next date of hearing in the court, else the traders outfit will launch an agitation.
Khan questioned the role of the officials of the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), Srinagar Municipal Corporation, LAWDA, other Developmental Authorities, which had authorized construction of sealed structures.
