RAJOURI, Oct 30: Many employees including doctors were found absent from duty after Tehsildar Kotranka paid surprise visit in the Government offices at Kotranka town today.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, F C Bhagat, Tehsildar Kotranka visited Kotranka Hospital where he found 14 employees including some doctors absent from duty. BMO was also not present and it was told that he had gone to attend a meeting in Rajouri In BDO office, he found just two contractual employees present out of total 11 employees posted there. Even BDO was also not present. In CDPO office only one class IV employees was present and all ten others absent. Class IV employee put attendance of all others in the register up to October 31 in panic. Tehsildar seized register and scolded the orderly. In CAPD office only TSO was present while Horticulture and Sheep Husbandry offices were kept at the disposal of peons.
Tehsildar then forwarded the report to the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri for further action against these `habitual absentee’ Government employees.
