JAMMU, Jan 18: It was a phenomenal experience for the enterprising youth of Jammu to have a face to face interaction with the most successful and innovative business leaders of the country during the ‘LEAD Youth Conclave – 2022′ that was organised by `LJK Economic Growth and Development Dialogue’ under the theme “Igniting the spirit of Entrepreneurship”, here today at the University of Jammu.
Prominent guest speakers of the event were Pratik Bose, Rajneesh Sharma, Varsha Bansal and Omkar Batra. The event was attended by a large gathering of determined youth who were eager to start their entrepreneurial journey and create a niche for themselves and some young entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir.
Pratik Bose, a cofounder of unique startup Growth Platform, who was also the managing partner of one of the largest VC investment platform, the Indian Angel Network, spoke about, how entrepreneurship has entered our social fabric and had become definition of success for the youth. He gave examples from his entrepreneurship journey how it has helped him satisfy his personal dreams and ambitions as well as bring impact to the society. He ended his talk by giving an investors outlook towards the talent of entrepreneurs and how they too depend on the passion of the founders.
After this, Rajneesh Sharma, a renowned and successful industrialist shared his journey of coming from a small town of Katra and established a versatile enterprise himself. He talked about how he developed a product range of juice based drinks which suited local markets.
Varsha Bansal, a hotelier from Jammu, shared her story of woman married into a business family and the challenges she came across setting a altogether new business for herself. She gave practical insights of building and running human-centric organisations.
Another highlight of the event was a seventeen year old young innovator Omkar Batra from Jammu who runs a space venture and a small satellite company.
Omkar shared very interesting stories about how he decided to venture into developing an enterprise from what he dreamt as a child.
