JAMMU, Jan 18: Consequent upon the completion of the tenure of Dr J P Sharma as Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) Jammu, Dr Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST Kashmir has been assigned additional charge of the Agricultural University Jammu.
An order in this regard was issued today by Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner (Addl Chief Secretary) Agriculture Production Department.
As per the order, Dr Nazir shall hold the charge of the post of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu in addition to his duties till the Selection Committee draws a final panel for the appointment of suitable candidate against the posts.
Pertinent to mention that a search committee has already been formed for selection of new Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu as outgoing VC Dr J P Sharma has turned 66 years on January 14, 2023 while maximum age limit for the post is 65 years.
