JAMMU, Jan 19: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar at Civil Secretariat , here today and submitted a memorandum of demands.
the delegation presented a 16 point memorandum to the Advisor, highlighting the problems being faced by the employees of School Education Department. These issues included DPCs for the promotion of Teacher to Master without any further delay, infrastructure upgradation/augumentation and providing additional staff to schools for implementation of NEP – 2020, decentralization of powers for transfer of teaching staff, comprehensive transfer policy for Grade II & Grade III teachers, adjustment of all the promoted Headmasters and Lecturers in different subjects, confirmation of all incharge/ look-after/ employees, scrapping of New Pension Scheme and its replacement with Old Pension Scheme, regularization of Contingent Paid Workers & Implementation of Minimum Wages Act, redressal of the issues faced by PM package & Jammu based reserved category employees.
The Forum also demanded resolution of the long pending demands of Rehbar-e-Khel employees, removal of the Pay Anomaly of Masters, release of pending MDM liabilities, resolution of issues of the genuine degree holders who have acquired the qualification via Distance mode, filling up of posts of Joint Directors, Personal officer DSEK, Deputy Director Planning and other vacancies, running grade in favour of 10+2 Lecturers and starting Job oriented courses at Secondary Level.
The Advisor patiently listened to the delegation and assured that these issues would be taken up on a fast track basis. In this regard, on spot directions were also passed to convene a meeting of the concerned Officers in order to discuss the issues.
The delegation comprised of the Forum Vice-president Muneer Ahmad Khan, Spokesperson Bhat Javaid Ahmad, Omkar Singh, Dr Abdullah, Provincial Chief Advisor Peer Faizan and Mohammad Jaffar Rather.
