JAMMU, Jan 20: Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited Ward Number 56, Gangyal area of RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly to review the water supply system.
While speaking with the people of the area, Baloria told the former that he had directed the Jal Shakti Department to improve the water supply system in the ward.
He further told the Gangyal residents that the Jal Shakti Department has started pipe laying work and the same shall be completed in a set time frame.
“JMC is committed to provide clean drinking water to every household in this ward. The corporation is taking every measure to ensure that the water supply system works efficiently,” he said.
The Deputy Mayor expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for taking the initiative of providing quality water access to all the people of the country.
Later, Guru Ravidas Samiti also honoured the Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Jammu City.
The Samiti members also highlighted their problems before the Deputy Mayor including repair of the damaged wall of the community hall of Guru Ravidas Community Hall, Gangyal, Jammu.
Billawaria thanked the community members for their appreciation and assured that all their issues shall be addressed in a time bound manner.
