3 yrs RI to cheater

JAMMU, Oct 31: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, S R Gandhi today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 5000 to one Baldev Singh, son of Manohar Singh of Ludhiana, who was facing trial and investigation for the last 11 years for cheating his relative on the assurance of providing employment visa for Germany.
After hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli with Senior PO Rajeshwar Basotra for the State, CJM observed, “the culpable dishonest intention of the accused in the facts and circumstances of the case right at the beginning can be presumed in as much as a person knowing that he was no lawful authority sitting in India making a representation to a person that he would settle him in foreign country”.
“It is a case where a relative duped his close relative who borrowed money from his relative and friends for employment in foreign country”, the court said while awarding three years RI to cheater.
