Jammu, Oct 31: A mock drill for dealing with severe law and order problem was conducted here today.
District Police Jammu has formulated an elaborate plan to deal with severe law and order situations and the mock drill was based on this plan.
The plan involves deployment of police manpower and resources at key strategy points so as to prevent a law and order situation from turning violent or going out of hand. The ultimate objective is to secure the lives and property of the people in such situations.
The conduct of the mock drill exercise was supervised by the Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, DIG Jammu/Kathua/Samba Range and other senior officers of the district Police.
Meanwhile, on specific information, Digiana Police today apprehended one Vinod Kumar Verma S/o Shiv Ram Verma R/o Preet Nagar, Jammu from Digiana and recovred 1000 capsules of paravan spas from his possession which he was carrying illegally. In this connection, a case has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation of the case is going on.
