JAMMU, Oct 31: For the second consecutive day, Chief Education Officer Jammu Tarsem Lal along with incharge SSA Rajesh Kumar conducted surprise visit of various Government schools and ordered punitive action against the erring teachers.
The CEO visited Middle Schools Valmiki Basti and Gorkha Nagar besides Higher Secondary School Qasim Nagar.
At MS Valmiki Basti, one Master namely Rupinder Kour and three teachers Geetu, Ravinder Kour and Harvinder Kour were found absent from duty.
Similarly at MS Gorkha Nagar, teachers Sonia Singh, Dinesh Singh and Nazia Akhtar of were absent from duty.
Taking serious note of the unauthorized absent, the CEO issued directions for withholding the salaries of these erring teachers and asked ZEO Gandhi Nagar to call their explanation for further action against them.
The CEO also inspected Mid Day Meal in different schools and expressed satisfaction over the implementation of the scheme in these schools.
