Vikar flags off trainees under Skill Development Programme

BANIHAL, Oct 31: Minister of State for Information, CAPD, Vikar Rasool Wani today flagged off a group of trainees for undergoing technical training at Barnala, Sirsa in Haryana under Skill Development Programme for Youth.
Senior Congress leader and former Minister, Abdul Gani Vakil, Superintendent ITI, Mudassar, Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
As many as, 92 trainees will undergo training in different trades like plumbing and electrical during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that about 1000 youths from Ramban district are being trained in different trades in reputed institutes of Haryana under Skill Development Programme. “This would help the youth to start their own employment ventures for living a dignified life,” he added.
The Minister announced 200 class desks for High School Thither under Constituency Development Fund besides sanctioning high mast lights, transformers and poles for the area.
Responding to the demands of locals, the Minister assured that the matter of backward status to Thither would be taken up with the concerned authority.
Vakil, who also spoke on the occasion, appealed the youth to avail optimum benefit of various State and Centrally sponsored schemes and establish their own self employment ventures.
The people of the area highlighted their demands and problems seeking an immediate redressal to the same.
The Minister assured the people that all their issues would be looked into for necessary action.
