Private Schools Association highlights issues

JAMMU, Oct 31: A meeting of the executive body of Private Schools Association Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Prof J L Kotwal and its president Kamal Gupta for discussing various issues being confronted by the private schools.
In the meeting the representatives of all the districts of Jammu province were apprised of latest developments regarding stay orders issued by the High Court, the fee fixation, SRO 123, SRO 740 & about the suggestions given by the PSA for the School Education (Amendment) Act 2013.
The Association decided to meet new Director School Education Jammu and  Commissioner Secretary Education for apprising them about  the different problems being faced by most of the Private Schools  whose recognition cases are still pending.
Ajay Gupta, provincial secretary-cum-coordinator, suggested that one day conference of all private schools of all three regions of J&K should be held at Jammu to assess the difficulties being faced by the private schools. This suggestion was unanimously accepted and president Kamal Gupta was requested to take measures in this direction as early as possible.
