MVD holds awareness camp at Govt Boys Polytechnic

JAMMU, Oct 31: Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) today held an awareness camp at the Government Boys Polytechnic to educate the students about the importance of the observance of the traffic and road safety rules.
On the occasion, films on road safety were shown to the students highlighting the need for responsible driving, a power point presentation on traffic signs was also made in which students were made aware of the different kind of traffic signs which are encountered while driving and the meaning of each.
The programme was attended by the Principal Arun Bangotra, RTO Arvind Kotwal, ARTO Kuldeep Singh, ARTO BOI Jugal Kishore Sharma, Motor Vehicle Inspectors of the Department, Tariq Amin, HoD Travel and Tourism, Manjeet Singh, HoD Electrical Engineering, Harinder Arora, HoD Architectural Assistantship, Kuldeep Singh Bhatia, HoD Mechanical Engineering and other staff members.
The officers of the Motor Vehicles Department also explained to the students the need for observance of road safety in wake of the rising accidents which are happening throughout the country.
Principal of the institution Arun Bangotra called upon the students to exercise caution while driving and so that any untoward incident can be minimized.
