JAMMU, Jan 24: A day after the important organizational meeting of Jammu and Kashmir unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was chaired by National general secretary Sandeep Pathak in Delhi, a delegation of Kashmir leaders of the Party visited schools of Delhi.
Leaders said that the education model of Delhi has set a trademark of international repute but Jammu and Kashmir’s education model is lagging far. During their visit, management of these schools gave a presentation to these leaders regarding the overall working of the institution and the way by which facilities of international level have been provided in the institutions.
The J&K leaders of AAP observed the working of schools especially in terms of highly advanced facilities being made available for the students. While mentioning about the facilities in the schools and the way with which these institutions are working in international repute, the leaders said that education model implemented by AAP in Delhi has set a trademark and party has shown to the country that how education sector is transformed towards constructive level.
Giving mention of education sector of J&K, the leaders said that education sector of J&K is lagging far when compared with sector of Delhi and it shows that there is need of massive reforms in the sector. They mentioned about lack of infrastructure and basic facilities in Government schools of J&K as well as burden imposed on students as well as parents with poor implementation of norms for fee fixation and lessening school bag burden.
The leaders also said that J&K is in urgent need of positive reforms in education sector on the lines of Delhi so that education future of J&K is safeguarded. Later, the party leaders also met Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia where threadbare discussion was held on issues pertaining to education sector and ways to bring positive reforms in it.
