MENDHAR, Jan 24: Foiling a bid of illicit liquor smuggling, police in Mendhar sub division of Poonch district arrested two bootlegers recovering 45 quarters and 50 bottles of liquor from their possession.
Accused have been identified as Ghulam Mustafa and Ghulam Ahmed, residents of Behera in Mendhar.
Police said that a team headed by PSI Naveet IKPP Mankote laid a naka and intercepted the persons from whom illicit liquor has been recovered.
Police said that a case under Excise Act has been registered in Mendhar Police Station and further investigation is going on.
