KATHUA, Jan 27: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Jammu today organised an Outreach Programme under its revamped ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ initiative at the conference hall of DC Office Complex.
At the outset, the ceremony of the Pan-India launch of ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ programme was live streamed.
While highlighting the initiative, Enforcement Officer EPFO Sanjeev Kumar said that the idea behind holding of Nidhi Aapke Nikat outreach camp was to make a mechanism where EPFO can reach out to the stakeholders with its field office in every district to redress the grievances of stakeholders, thereby increasing accessibility and visibility of the organisation. The idea was to save the valuable time and money of the people who seek the intervention of the EPFO for their grievances and otherwise have to cover a lot of distance due to no presence of EPFO offices in some districts, he added.
During the programme, a help desk was set up where members were provided access to the online services like filing of online claims etc. Several Grievances of the members were redressed on the spot and grievances which require intervention of higher authorities were registered on the grievance portal of EPFO which will be resolved on priority.
While interacting with stakeholders, the Enforcement Officer informed that EPFO will ensure proper dissemination about the holding of such outreach programmes through all stakeholders so as to ensure maximum participation in the camps to make this programme successful and effective. “The outreach programme is not just a grievance redressal mechanism and information exchange network for the employers and the employees but also a platform for exchange of information with the district level authorities of various State and Central Government departments”, he added.
On the occasion leaflets on Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976 and other offered services and provisions that fall under the ambit of EPFO were also distributed among the participants.
ALC Kathua Roopali Gandotra, Dy GM CTM P.K Tyagi, President Private School Association Satpal Mansotra, CAO, CEO, DHO and a group of Industrialists were also present.
