KISHTWAR, Jan 27: Police here today arrested two notorious drug peddlers along with consignment of contraband.
The arrested duo is identified as Gohar Nabi, son of Gh Nabi Waza, resident of Wasserkund Kishtwar and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Ali, resident of Nowapachi Marwah.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal informed that a Police Party led by SHO Kishtwar, Inspector Abid Bukhari under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Kishtwar, Ashish Gupta laid a Naka at Welcome Gate of Malipath and while checking cops found 1416 capsules and tablets from possession of the duo who were arrested on spot.
In this regard an FIR with No.14/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
Interrogation of the arrested duo revealed that besides self-consumption they also wanted to sell the drugs to youths of Kishtwar to have monitory gains.
