JAMMU, Jan 29: Former State president BJP, Ashok Khajuria today said that Congress leadership should salute Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who created a congenial atmosphere in Kashmir Valley that the party was able to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk Srinagar which it could not do over its five decades rule at Centre.
Khajuria said that Congress should feel proud of PM Narendra Modi of bringing Kashmir into mainstream by removing all barriers which were an impediment in total integration of J&K into India and had boosted the separatist tendencies in Valley over the years. He said the policies pursued by Congress party during its rule at both Centre and in J&K alienated the people of the erstwhile State and created a gulf between J&K and rest of the country which was bridged by the pro people policies of Narendra Modi who strictly pursued the policy of one nation one Constitution.
Khajuria said though Congress and other opposition parties are trying to spilling venom among minorities on the name of BJP and PM Modi but while granting benefits to people under various public welfare schemes including Ujwala, Aysuhman Bharat, housing for all or benefits to small farmers by depositing Rs 6000 in their accounts annually no discrimination was made among the beneficiaries on the basis of religion, caste or region as Modi Government is working on the Mantra Sabka , Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
Khajuria also took a dig at PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti who had earlier said on the abrogation of Article 370 that there will be no one to take Tri Colour in their hands in Kashmir if Article 370 was touched had herself joined the Rahul’s Yatra where hundreds of Kashmiris were with Tri Colours in their hands which was result of Modi’s pro people policies.
