JPDCL to disconnect power connections of defaulters

JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) will start disconnecting the power connections of those consumers who are eligible under the Amnesty Scheme but have not paid any installment till date.
The Managing Director of JPDCL has directed the Chief Engineer (Distribution) Jammu to start disconnection drive as per the list of defaulters available online. In the first instance, the list has been generated for consumers with pending amount above Rs one lakh with zero installment paid.
The Chief Engineer will submit the report on disconnections to the office of the Managing Director on daily basis. Further, all the SDOs have been directed that reconnection requests corresponding to such disconnections should be made to IT&C Division in consolidated manner before 5 pm every day.
