DDC takes stock of people’s grievances

SAMBA, Nov 2: District Development Commissioner R K Varma conducted an extensive tour of village Dyon in block Purmandal to take stock of grievances of the people besides reviewing status of ongoing development works.
The DDC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development Samba, DPO Samba, CEO Samba Executive Engineer, PWD, PHE, and PDD, DSWO, Chief Horticulture Officer, AD Food Supply and heads of various department.
The DDC held public grievances camp at Dyon village and people in large number projected their demands and problems pertaining to repairing of roads, availability of drinking water and regular supply of electricity etc.
Mr Varma listened to the demands and problems being faced by the people patiently and assured them that all their issues would be redressed in a time bound manner. He instructed all the heads of the departments to work with missionary zeal and dedication for resolving the issues of people leaving no space for complaints.
He said that motive behind holding such camps was to have first-hand knowledge about the problems of the people so that needful can be done to mitigate their sufferings.
He called upon Panchayat representatives to play their role in making people aware of different Government schemes as being nearer to people they are in a better position to serve their respective areas by properly identifying and executing the development works and welfare schemes.
He exhorted upon the officers to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach to the real beneficiaries timely and directed the concerned officers to create massive awareness about different State and Centrally sponsored schemes.
