JAMMU, Feb 2: Son of the soil, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Professor and Head Community Medicine, Government Medical College Jammu has been conferred with prestigious fellowship by Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM) in the ongoing (02-04 February, 2023) Golden Jubilee Conference at AIIMS Bibi Nagar, Hyderabad.
The fellowship is conferred on account of meritorious contributions made by Dr. Gupta in the field of Medical Education, Research and Community Services.
Dr. Gupta was earlier awarded scholarship to attend IEA workshop in Pokhra, Nepal in 2017 and was conferred with Vasudeva Orator by NZ-IAPSM in 2018.
He has more than 100 publications in peer reviewed national and international indexed and high impact factors journals and he also remained Principal Investigators in INDIAB-project in Jammu province of J&K.
Dr. Gupta is also a member of State Advisory Board on NTEP, SUMAN, SQAC, Safe Food and Healthy Diets etc.
He has also contributed extensively in lay press on health topics of public relevance.
