CEC chairs Executive Council meeting

KARGIL, Feb 2: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired the Executive Council meeting in his office chamber, here today.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor, RD, Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Er. Punchok Tashi, Executive Councillor, Agriculture, Health, Revenue and Forest, Mohsin Ali, Executive Councillor, Social Welfare, Horticulture, Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Aga Syed Mehdi Fazili and Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve and Chief Planning Office, Kargil, Abdul Hadi.
At the onset, the CEC proposed the enhancement of Councillor Constituency Development Allocation (CCDA) in LAHDC Kargil from Rs one crore to Rs 1.50 crore for each Councillor from the next financial year, which was approved by the Council.
Further, it was decided that 85 percent from the CCDA shall be proposed for major works, while 15 percent for machinery and equipment during the financial year 2023-24.
It was decided that the Councillors shall identify the 80 percent of works having estimated cost above Rs 5 lakhs, while the rest of 20 percent shall be within the estimated cost of Rs 1 lakh to 5 lakhs.
During the meeting, a decision was also taken to choose separate heads for the construction of toilets for girl students in each school in the financial year 2023-24.
