LEH, Feb 3: The wages of daily rated workers engaged in various Government departments and Local Bodies in remote areas of Ladakh have been increased by 10 per cent.
An order issued by the Finance Department of the Government of Union Territory of Ladakh said that in continuation to the Finance Department’s order dated 15-11-2022, the wages of daily wage earners/ daily wagers including casual workers/ labourers, under category `unskilled’ and `skilled’, who are duly engaged and working in all Government Departments and Local Bodies in the teshils of Zanskar, Durbuk and Nyoma, shall be 10 % additional to the revised minimum wage already issued in respective categories in terms of SO 117 dated 02-11-2022 notified by the Labour and Employment Department, Union Territory of Ladakh.
