JAMMU, Nov 4: Kanachack police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 73 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Kanachack police station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian namely Krishan Lal, son of Waryam Chand of Lalyal, Kanachack.
During search, police recovered 73 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, he added.
A case under FIR number 183/13 and under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack Police Station and investigation started.
