SRTC volunteers retired employees hold protest

JAMMU, Nov 4: All J&K SRTC Volunteers Retired Employees Association today held a protest demonstration against the Government.
The protestors led by Dev Raj Bali, president, VRS Union and Surinder Singh, general secretary raised slogans against the Government for not redressing their long pending demands.
While speaking, Dev Raj Bali said that the MDs of all the PSUs are violating the Government order dated July 16, 2007 due to which 742 VRS/GHS employees are suffering a lot.
Government and MDs of PSU are having hand in glove and are harassing VRS/GHS, he alleged.
He demanded 126 slabs of COLA with leave salary, ex-gratia grant, pending arrears and implementation of 6th Pay Commission.
Among others present were Balwinder Singh, vice president, BV Sharma, DN Sharma, Esan Elahi, Harbans Singh, Surat Singh, Sain Mohammad and Subash Singh.
