AKHNOOR, Nov 4: The relatives of kidnapped girl and villagers from Sungal lodged their protest against Akhnoor police as it has failed to trace the girl and arrest three kidnappers in last five days.
Father of the kidnapped girl Santosh Singh, a retired defence personnel (JCO) along with his relatives and villagers lodged FIR with Akhnoor police and even narrated the matter to SSP Jammu, but the cops have failed to trace the girl and arrest the accused persons who have been identified by the locals.
They came in a filmy style in a Scorpio vehicle, parked the vehicle in front of girl’s house at Sungal, forcibly picked up the girl and escaped. These youth were equipped with sharp edged weapons. The father alleged that one of the accused is son of local Patwari at Akhnoor. He urged the IGP Jammu to intervene and trace his kidnapped daughter and put the kidnappers behind the bars.
