Srinagar, Feb 6: J&K Awami Aawaz Party (JKAAP) today staged a protest against the anti-encroachment drive which is currently ongoing across J&K.
Leading the protest, Suhail Khan, president of JKAAP, said that the administration was resorting to excesses and injustice on the behest of RSS.
“This protest is against what was done with the poor people at Padshahi Bagh; they are poor people and have been brought to the road, isn’t injustice,” Khan said.
He said that the administration must go after the people who have grabbed scores of kanals of land instead of making the poor people run for their lives.
“Using bulldozers against the poor is against the law; they are nowhere to go, why can’t they go after the rich and influential to retrieve the encroached land,” he said.
