JAMMU, Feb 7: The Director General of Police has sanctioned Rs 94 lakh as relief in favour of the families of the martyrs, deceased and retired police personnel and SPOs.
As per a statement, an amount of Rs 78 lakh was sanctioned as Special Welfare Relief in favour of the dependents and legal heirs of the martyred and deceased police personnel/SPOs while Rs 5.90 lakh and Rs 10.40 lakh was sanctioned as welfare relief in favour of the legal heirs/dependents of the martyred, deceased/retired police officials/SPOs.
Pertinently, Police Headquarters has been implementing various schemes for the welfare of its personnel and their families. There are also schemes for the wards of police personnel and SPOs. Besides, there are schemes for the NOKs of the martyrs, their wards and also for the retired police personnel and their spouses.
