Ex-MLA demands early assembly elections in J&K

POONCH, Feb 7: Apni Party district president, Poonch, Ex-MLA, Shah Mohammed Tantray has demanded holding of early Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Tantray was addressing a joining programme in which a Ph.D scholar, Ch Tofel Anjum along with many youth joined the party.
While welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Tantray said that restoration of democratic system in Jammu and Kashmir with the holding of Assembly elections is the only option to end the sufferings of the people.
“The people are in distress and facing a lot of problems in the absence of an elected Government. Therefore, the people should come forward and support the Apni Party so that the dynamic leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari can bring positive changes in J&K to bring out people from the suffering,” he said.
Former MLA further said that the demand for the restoration of statehood has also gained strength in Jammu and Kashmir from both the regions.
“There is no alternative to an elected Govt or restoration of democratic system. The elected representatives are answerable to the people and the holding of Assembly election is must for an elected government in J&K,” he asserted.
He also referred to the lack of development, irregular drinking water supply, unscheduled power cuts and other issues.
He appealed to the concerned departments in the administration to streamline the supply system for public welfare and improve the road connectivity.
Senior party members, Alhaaj Bashir Khaki, Capt Balraj Datta (Shurya Chaker), Ch Mohammed Safer, provincial secretary ST Cell  Bashir Kamran, District president, ST Cell Ajaz Tantray, Block president, Loran Ch Azam Kalis, Ch Javid Block president Youth leaders, Ahsan Elahi,  Ghulam Mustfa  among others were present on the occasion.
