PM lays foundation of stable economy: Rekha

JAMMU, Feb 9: Union Budget for Financial Year 2023-24 this year aims to further strengthen India’s economic status in the 75th year of its independence, said BJP J&K chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi in the “Budget Pe Charcha” here, today. The programme was organized under the presidency of  Rekha Mahajan BJP district president, Jammu South.
Prabhari district Jammu South, Ayodhya Gupta, district Election Committee, in charges, State spokespersons, Y.V Sharma and Tahir Choudhary, State Executive Member, Nitish Mahajan, district general secretaries, Akash Chopra and Pushpinder Charak and other prominent party leaders were present in the meeting.
Sunil Sethi termed the Union Budget 2023-24, the first general budget of “Amrit Kaal” which will provide a strong impetus to growth and job creation.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that this is a budget to empower and enable the villages, poor, farmers, Tribals, Dalits, backward, economically backward, and middle-class people. He said that this budget will provide social justice, equality, respect, and equal opportunities to the citizens of the country.
Sethi said it is going to emphasize the education of children, the earnings of the middle class, and the welfare of the elderly. Sethi highlighted that “Modi Sarkar” has put in efforts since 2014 and has ensured that all citizens of the country get a better quality of life of dignity. Per capita income has more than doubled to Rs 1.97 lakh. He said the two proposed hydel electricity units would also go a long way in improving the economic condition of the people in J&K.
Sethi stated that the Modi Government has always kept in mind that there should be equitable development of  J&K for which the Union budget this time has enhanced the annual allocation by Rs 876.98 crores.
The world today looks up to India as it jumps 40 positions higher on Global Innovation Index, he said. He described it as a budget that addresses the aspirations of every section of society, from the middle class to big industry, from women to youth, and from farmers to StartUps, it is an inclusive budget for all.
Rekha Mahajan in her addresses said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation of a stable economy, which could withstand all domestic and global upheavals and still earn the IMF title as a “bright spot” among major economies of the world. Rekha Mahajan said, “From women living in the cities to villages, employed to homemakers, the Government has taken significant steps such as Jal Jeevan Mission, Ujjwala Yojna and PM Awas Yojana, etc. that will further empower the welfare of women”.
